Ecological disposal of electrical and electronic equipment waste

The core mission of our company is to ensure, based on right, open and non-discriminated fundament to all of the participants - producers, importers, distributors and final sellers of lighting equipment - opportunity of common fulfillment of obligations according to Directive 2003/108/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 December 2003 amending Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and actual Law of the Czech Republic, mainly the law no. "185/2001 Sb." based on its valid version (the Law) and its implementing regulations.

While assuring the obligations the company is building and will operate the system - the web of salvage points, logistics of salvage and haulage of electrical waste and electronic equipment. As a part of the system the material can be used and residual waste will be removed. Related services can be offered to the others based on signing the Participation agreement.

Collective system EKOLAMP was founded to assure the common fulfillment of obligations of producers to historical and later to new electrical waste from 5th group of products they brought to the market (based on the waste management act in its actual version). Part of it is a retaking plan, separate salvage, its processing, fulfillment of obligations and removing the electrical waste and electronic equipment in the Czech Republic.

Basic features of the collective EKOLAMP system:

• nonprofit organization
• equal and fair bases for all participations without exception
• contribution of retake of the historical waste is done separately during 8 years
• the waste from household and the waste not from household is not differentiated
  
• historical and new electronic equipment and electrical waste is not differentiated

The collective EKOLAMP system is taking the obligations of the producers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment (the 5th group from law no. 185/2001 Sb. - enclosure no. 7 and law no. 7/2005 Sb.)

Products of the 5th group - Lighting equipment
5.1. Lighting units for the fluor lamp except lighting from households 5.2. Linear fluor lights 5.3. Compact fluor lamps 5.4. High-pressure discharge gas lamp sources including the high-pressure sodium gas discharge lamps, halogen and some other alloyed discharge gas lamps. 5.5. Low-pressure sodium gas discharge lamps 5.6. Other lighting equipment and devices for spreading or driving the lighting except the glowing bulb.
Duties are not related to the products that are part of other type of devices that are not covered in the 8th part of the law (e.g. a car).
